The Bar

We have a varied selection of wine and spirits and select whiskeys. We also have a vast selection of domestic, international and craft beers to choose from on draft and by the bottle!
Our coffee is from Dublins most famous Cafe and coffee provider Bewleys.

At The Lombard we offer a selection of mouth-watering dishes on our all day menus. The varied menu selection is delicious at any time and therefore served all day. This ensures your favourite dish will be available day or evening. Our wide range of salads and wraps satisfy a lighter appetite while for something a little more substantial, the spicy chicken enchiladas or Grilled Steak burger hit the spot. The all-day breakfasts are also a favourite!
We pride ourselves on using top quality local suppliers where possible. Meats are from FX Buckley, fruit and vegetables from James Nugent Fruit and Veg, and we also use Musgraves and Johnston Mooney.

We booked two nights Sun 7/24 & Mon 7/25/22 at The Lombard Townhouse in Dublin. Ireland. We had spent a week at the Farrell Clan Rally in Longford, IE but wanted to be in town for our return flight on Tue 7/26. We found this place on the Booking.com website. Easy to book, value priced for us, & centrally located for walking or public transportation. It was a 20 min. walk from the Connelly RR Station and only a 5 min walk to the bus stop to get the express bus to the airport. So very economical for the thrifty traveller. $255E incl 9% VAT tax for our two night stay. This location was great for easy walking to Trinity College, the Temple Bar area, EPIC Ireland, The GPO, Grafton St, & St Stephen's Green. Note: On & Off city tour bus can take you to everything for one price all day.
This corner is very busy during the work week. But our room was clean, tidy, & quiet at night. Nothing fancy here but it was just what we needed. The barman in the pub was very helpful as he showed us to the room. Note: just stairs here. Also no USB outlets so bring your handy travel converter outlet for charging phone, etc. Only one minor problem w/ bathroom sink drain that was resolved while we went exploring.
After we checked in we went to the bar to get some local knowledge, which was plentiful. Good thing b/c their internet was out. So we some pints while watching the All Ireland Gaelic Football Championship match on TV. We enjoyed the bar on both evenings and had one pub-style meal here. Dinner for two 32E. Travel Tip: The Lombard accepts Euros, Pounds, & US Dollars. This was the only place we visited that offered all three payment options.
Again there many options for accomodations in Dublin but this is good one for the thrifty travel. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again. We will recommend The Lombard Townhouse & Bar to our friends. I apologize for losing the names of the barmen & the waitress but Thank You both. We'll see you again the next time in Dublin.

Little Gem Found
Walking around Dublin we stopped in to just to warm up and have some pub food... little did we know that we'd be impressed. The atmosphere... the starters and the mains were nicely presented and delicious. If there was one thing they need to work on would be their deserts. Regardless... we'll be back... looking forward the next visit!

Great for a meal
Enjoyed drinks and dinner at this 200+ year old pub here on Pease St, Dublin. The food, I had the seafood chowder and better 1/2 had the steak sandwich. Both were full of flavour and very fresh. Staff were very good and attentive to all your needs. Drinks were also reasonably priced, along with the food. Locals eat and drink there, that’s a good sign.
